Terms of Service for Foldpad

Last Updated: October 16, 2026

App version: Foldpad 1.0

Foldpad is a pocket notebook for iPhone, made for iPhone Duo. These terms cover what you write in it, iCloud sync, the cover name read on your device, and the optional one-time purchase.

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Foldpad ("the App"), you ("User" or "you") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will note material changes by updating this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Relationship with Apple

Foldpad is developed and maintained by Meet Pi ("Developer"). Your license to use the App is granted solely by the Developer, not by Apple Inc. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation or liability with respect to the App, including maintenance, support, product claims, or legal compliance. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

3. What Foldpad Does

Foldpad turns your iPhone into a pocket notebook. On iPhone Duo, held half open like a book, the two screens are its pages; on other iPhones it is the same spread in landscape. You write with a finger or Apple Pencil, turn pages, tear them out into a back pocket, tape them back in, share them as images, and shred them for good.

The App stores your notebook on your device and, when you are signed into iCloud, in your private iCloud account. The Developer does not receive or store it.

4. License and Usage

Your License

The Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules.

Restrictions

You may not:

5. Your Content

What you write and draw in Foldpad is yours. You retain all rights to it, and you are responsible for it, including anything you choose to share from it. The Developer claims no license to your content and never receives it.

6. iCloud and Data Sync

The App works without iCloud, keeping the notebook on the one device. When you are signed into iCloud, it syncs your notebook to your private iCloud account so your other devices open to the same pages. Storage is governed by your Apple iCloud plan. If you uninstall the App, a synced notebook stays in your iCloud account until you delete it there.

The Developer is not liable for:

7. Tearing and Shredding Pages

Tearing a page out moves it to the back pocket, and you can undo it or tape the page back in. Shredding a page from the back pocket is permanent: the App asks before it does so, and the page is removed from every device your notebook syncs to. The Developer cannot recover a shredded page.

8. Cover Name

On devices with Apple Intelligence, the App can read a name you write on the inside front cover or page 1 and print it on the cover. This happens on your device. It can misread handwriting or miss a name, and erasing the name takes it off the cover. The App works the same without it.

9. Purchases

A new notebook has 16 pages, and writing, turning, tearing, the back pocket, taping pages back in, and sharing are free. An optional one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase lets you sew in 16 fresh pages at a time, up to 1,000 pages in all. The price is shown in the App before you confirm, and payment is charged to your Apple ID.

The purchase is sold and billed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple. The Developer does not receive your payment card or billing address. Use Restore Purchases with the same Apple ID on another device or after reinstalling. If a purchase is refunded, sewing in more pages is no longer available, but pages already sewn in, and everything written on them, stay.

10. Maintenance and Support

The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any support services with respect to Foldpad. For support, contact: [email protected]

11. Warranty Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE DEVELOPER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT IT WILL READ HANDWRITING CORRECTLY.

In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

You are responsible for the security of your Apple ID and for your iCloud storage capacity.

13. Product Claims

The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including but not limited to: (a) product liability claims; (b) claims that the App fails to conform to applicable legal or regulatory requirements; and (c) claims under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

14. Intellectual Property

If a third party claims the App or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, the Developer — not Apple — will be responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

15. Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

16. Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated by you or the Developer. Your rights under them end automatically if you fail to comply with them. Upon termination, you must stop using the App. Your notebook in your iCloud account remains yours to manage; the Developer has no ability to reach or delete it.

17. Changes to the App

The Developer may update, modify, or discontinue Foldpad at any time, including features that depend on particular devices or versions of iOS, such as iPhone Duo or Apple Intelligence. The Developer is not liable if features are removed, the App is discontinued, or updates affect compatibility with older devices or iOS versions.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. If a dispute arises:

  1. Contact the Developer first at [email protected]
  2. The parties will attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith
  3. Unresolved disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or courts located in California

19. Privacy

Your use of Foldpad is governed by the Developer's Privacy Policy, located at https://meetpi.dev/foldpad/privacy.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding Foldpad. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
